The Field of Mahshar in the Qur'an and Hadith: Depiction to the Groups Who Receive Shade
The Field of Mahshar is the gathering place for all humanity after the Day of Resurrection to undergo hisab, the reckoning of deeds. The Qur'an and hadith describe the conditions there, such as humans being barefoot, the extremely hot temperature, and the division of people into three groups: those walking, those riding, and those whose faces are being dragged.
Several important events will occur, including the hisab, the distribution of the record of deeds from the right or left, and the weighing of deeds with a just mizan (scale). The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) will also grant intercession for his followers with the permission of Allah.
There are eight groups who will receive Allah's shade on the Field of Mahshar, among them a just ruler, a youth dedicated to worship, one whose heart is attached to the mosque, and those who love each other for the sake of Allah. This shade is given as a form of mercy on a day full of hardship.
