As-salamu alaykum - I wish someone had shown me this sooner. A lot of us wait until life gets messy before dealing with little things. But spending five minutes each morning or evening on tiny tasks can stop a lot of stress, wasted time, and bad vibes before they start. I had to learn this the hard way as an adult, and honestly I wish I knew it back in school... so many lost hours, subhanAllah. Simple “5-minute favors” for your future self: 1. Lay out tomorrow’s clothes (or abaya/thobe) so you’re not rushing or overthinking at suhoor or after fajr. 2. Keep your keys, wallet, and phone in the same place every night so you don’t scramble in the morning. 3. Refill your water bottle, prepare your vitamins, or pack your protein/shake and pop it in the fridge. 4. Charge your phone before it dies or keep a charged power bank ready for the day. 5. Jot a quick list of things you often forget (gym shoes, lunch, ID, prayer mat, etc.). Bonus tip - a few minutes of dhikr, prayer, or positive dua in the morning really helps set a calm mindset for the day. It may seem small, but these little habits add up quickly. Your future self has enough on their plate - give them a little mercy and take care of the basics. 😂
