Salaam! Need advice on dressing modestly as a hijabi in a strict school uniform

Assalamu alaikum! I’ve been wearing hijab for a year now (alhamdulillah, just passed my first anniversary last June 22!). I’ve always dressed covered even before, so that part is fine. But now I’m worried about school uniforms. I’m in a country where Muslims are a minority, and I’m starting my first year of college this July 13. The uniform here is usually a knee-length or slightly above knee skirt and a standard blouse. The blouse is okay since I just wear a jacket over it, even though it’s super hot. The skirt is the problem. At my old school, we had skirts and long socks, so my legs were sort of covered, but it was still tight. My new university only has a pencil skirt and no socks. I’m thinking of wearing leggings or thick stockings underneath, but it still feels wrong because it’s tight 💔. I’m also scared of getting in trouble because the university is very strict with uniforms-it’s a Christian university. They might not be as understanding as my previous school (which was also a Catholic university, funny enough). I was the only hijabi there, and I’ll be the only one at the new place too. Anyway, what do you think? Are stockings or leggings okay in this situation? Jazakallah khair for any advice!
