KPK Reveals the Origin of the Envelope from Kuansing Regent to Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has uncovered the origin of the envelope brought by Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing) Regent Suhardiman Amby during a meeting with Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni. The money is suspected to have come from the leftover profits of a Village Unit Cooperative (KUD), collected by the treasurer, handed over by a regent's staff member, and then brought for the processing of a recommendation at the ministry.
KPK Acting Director of Investigations Achmad Taufik Husein gave this statement at the KPK's Merah Putih Building in Jakarta on Saturday (7/4/2026). Suhardiman himself has been named a suspect in a bribery case involving the buying and selling of positions within the Kuansing Regency government, and the KPK is also investigating allegations of gratuities related to the release of a limited production forest area.
Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni previously confirmed receiving an official visit on June 2, 2026, which was accompanied by complete documentation and a formal letter. After the meeting, Suhardiman left behind an envelope wrapped in a folder, but Raja Juli says he immediately ordered his aide to return it without checking its contents.
