Reflecting with a Grateful Heart: Alhamdulillah for Our Blessings
Assalamu alaikum, everyone. Sometimes, seeing the struggles of others really puts things into perspective for me. I came across some reminders of the different tests people face in this life. One video showed a young child, an amputee, in tears of frustration, unable to hold a spoon. It was a powerful moment. Another showed an elderly father in a care home; his own sons had abandoned him, never calling, so he made dua against them. When asked how he was, he simply said, 'tired,' and wept. There was another difficult video, a man mistreating his own mother-a'udhu billah. It's hard to even think about. I was also reminded of someone living with a stoma bag, dealing with that challenge every single day. And our hearts are constantly with our brothers and sisters in Palestine. Only Allah truly knows the depth of their suffering. But there was also a beautiful example of patience and devotion: a son lovingly washing and clothing his father who has dementia, even though his father hardly remembers him and sometimes pushes him away. These are just a few reminders for anyone who needs one today. Alhamdulillah for every blessing, big and small. May Allah bless, help, and strengthen those who are struggling, vulnerable, or weak. May He grant them the highest ranks in Jannah and protect us all from such trials. Ameen.
