New Muslims in South India: anyone else facing this?
Assalamu alaikum. I truly feel that for new Muslims in South India, finding acceptance in the Muslim community can be really tough. It’s heartbreaking because we’ve chosen Islam, we want to learn, improve our deen, and be better Muslims. But often we’re judged or kept aside just because we don’t know Urdu or because we’re converts. We already have a lot to learn, and support from born Muslims would mean the world. I’m not saying all Muslims here are like that, but this is what I’ve seen. I want to know if other converts here have felt the same and how you found your place. Islam teaches unity beyond language, culture, or background, doesn’t it?
