My Struggle with Mental Health and Jinn Possession

As-salamu alaykum, everyone. I was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2022, but I've actually been dealing with it since 2017. Recently, I was with a friend, and his companion-who is both a sheikh and a medical doctor (though not in psychiatry)-shared his perspective. To sum it up, he explained that my experiences might be linked to, or even completely due to, jinn possession. I'm going to try the ruqya he recommended, but honestly, part of me finds it hard to accept the idea that I'm possessed. I'd really appreciate hearing your insights on the connection between schizophrenia and jinn possession.
