My Journey Toward Islam

Assalamu alaikum. I'm Christina, a high school student. This summer, I found myself drawn to Islam and Arab cultures. I have this dream to learn Arabic, read the Quran in its original language, and wear hijab. Where I live, people might see it as unusual, but I truly wish to step away from worldly distractions and constant attention. I've studied Islam a lot, and it feels warm and close to my heart. In sha Allah, one day I might move to an Arab country, wear hijab, and start a better life there. Right now, my family and I see it as something far off and maybe even frowned upon. Has anyone else gone through this?
