Junivia, Minahasa Sekolah Rakyat Student Advances to OSN 2026 Semifinal

Junivia Vanecia Tulung, an eleventh-grade student at Sekolah Rakyat Menengah Atas (SRMA) 44 North Sulawesi, successfully advanced to the semifinal of the 2026 National Science Olympiad (OSN) in Biology. She became one of 100 participants who advanced from a total of 13,542 students at the provincial level. At first, Juni was hesitant to join OSN, but encouragement from her friends made her brave enough to do it. She eventually passed the provincial selection together with two other SRMA 44 students, and became the only one to advance to the semifinal. Juni comes from a humble family in Kauneran Village, Minahasa. Her achievement has become a source of pride for her school and family. SRMA 44 principal, Jefta Johannes Makikui, called Juni's accomplishment proof of the quality of Sekolah Rakyat students. Juni has taken the semifinal selection on August 12, 2026, and is waiting for the announcement on August 18.
