Inspector General of Indonesian Ministry of Hajj: Hajj Officers Must Stay Focused Serving Pilgrims Until the Last Batch Returns
Inspector General of the Indonesian Ministry of Hajj, Dendi Suryadi, stressed that the duty of hajj services is not over even though the peak phase of worship in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina has concluded. He asked all officers to maintain focus and stamina until the return process of pilgrims to the homeland runs safely, comfortably, and smoothly.
During a morning assembly at the Madinah working area on Wednesday (10/6/2026), Dendi called the assembly a means of consolidation and strengthening coordination among officers. He appreciated the cohesiveness and harmonious relations in the Madinah working area, which are seen as helping to face operational challenges, especially during the repatriation phase that requires high precision.
Dendi also reminded officers to be open to receiving feedback, both appreciation and criticism from pilgrims, as evaluation material for improving services in the future. He emphasized that officers are representatives of the state and must remain steadfast in serving until all pilgrims have been sent back.
