Dozens of Youths Stage Flashmob at KBS to Prevent Radicalism Entering Schools
Dozens of youths from the East Java Youth Care Community Movement staged a flashmob at Surabaya Zoo (KBS) on Wednesday (8/26) afternoon. The action aimed to voice alertness against the spread of radical ideology and Khilafah that has begun to infiltrate school environments.
They unfurled banners, distributed flyers, and sang the national anthem as a form of love for the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). The crowd highlighted the phenomenon of the True Crime Community (TCC), an online community suspected of being a terrorism recruitment network for minors.
Field coordinator Abdur Rozaq emphasized that recruitment by radical groups now targets teenagers' digital spaces. One participant, Ustad Dwi Agus, called on parents and teachers to be vigilant and reject all forms of Khilafah ideology. "Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution are non-negotiable!" he asserted.
The action, attended by around 20 participants, proceeded peacefully and orderly, and is hoped to spark public awareness to fortify the younger generation against violent extremism.
