Assalamualaikum - Daytime Temps to Fall Below 30°C in Abu Dhabi and Dubai
Assalamualaikum everyone, just a quick heads-up: daytime temperatures are expected to dip below 30°C across the UAE this week, and rain is on the way as we move toward the cooler season.
The National Centre of Meteorology is predicting scattered showers, strong winds and cloudy skies, especially over western and coastal areas, through Friday. They say this unsettled weather is part of the seasonal shift from autumn to winter and should bring generally cooler, more comfortable conditions.
Mornings may still feel humid, and winds could pick up to around 40 kph in coastal and inland spots. Their weather maps show daytime temps staying in the mid-30s until Thursday, then dropping noticeably on Friday.
Expect about 29°C in Dubai during Friday daytime (cooling to roughly 22°C by evening), and around 28°C in Abu Dhabi by day (down to about 24°C at night).
This cooler spell should be a welcome break after a very hot few months - good time to take the family out for an evening walk or visit a park, inshallah. For context, winter here usually runs from late December to mid-March, and temperatures climb again from spring, often topping 40°C in the summer months.
