As someone exploring faith, can I make dua for the Night of Decree?

Assalamu alaikum, I've been observing Ramadan this year, and in my earlier post I shared that I'm considering embracing Islam. This whole journey has been incredibly transformative, and I'm so thankful for the openness Allah has placed in my heart this month. I was wondering-is it permissible for someone not yet Muslim to make heartfelt duas during the last ten nights? I've heard such amazing things about this blessed time and would love to pray for myself and my dear ones. I've kept a journal all month, jotting down ways to maximize these final days. Any additional tips, or if this isn't allowed, please let me know!
