American Missionary Held in Niger for Nine Months Is Released

An American missionary kidnapped in Niger has been freed after nine months in captivity. His organization stated he is in good health and is now under the care of US officials. The missionary is expected to be reunited with his family soon. He was reportedly abducted by unknown assailants in the capital, Niamey.
