A Question About Eid Meat from a Non-Muslim Neighbor

Assalamu alaikum, everyone! I hope it’s okay to ask this here. My neighbor gave me some raw lamb for Eid, and it was such a kind surprise-my first time receiving an Eid gift! I’m really grateful but a bit concerned because the meat wasn’t cold when I got it, and I don’t know how long it was left out. Would it be rude to throw it away? If so, what else could I do? JazakAllah khair for any advice.
