RMI PBNU Launches National Movement 'Pesantrenku Aman' in Pasuruan, Aims for Violence-Free Islamic Schools
Rabithah Ma’ahid Islamiyah PBNU together with the PBNU Anti-Violence Unit (SAKA) kicked off the National Movement Campaign “Pesantrenku Aman” at Al Yasini Islamic Boarding School in Pasuruan on Tuesday (2/6). This movement aims to ensure a safe, healthy, comfortable, and child-friendly environment in pesantren.
PBNU Chairman KH. Yahya Cholil Staquf emphasized that pesantren bear the trust of educating and protecting students. PBNU is committed to building a structured monitoring system from the national to regional level to create pesantren that are safe for children.
RMI PBNU Chairman KH. Hodri Ariev stated this movement isn’t just ceremonial but a shared effort to build an internal defense against potential violence. The campaign will be guided by measurable indicators and become a regular agenda, along with student education and drafting SOPs for victim handling. Roadshows are planned to continue across various regions of Indonesia.
