A Mother's Testimony: The Qur'an's Mercy
Assalamu Alaikum. šø I am a mother of a daughter who was different from other children... She was a gift from Allah, yet she seemed unlike any child we knew. When she was born, doctors gathered around and our hearts hung on their looks. Then came the diagnosis like a storm: āShe will never walk⦠she will never talk⦠she will never hear⦠she will never see⦠her brain shows no signals - no feeling, no bladder control.ā Those words echoed in my ears for years. One harsh medical report after another. We even went to Germany hoping for help, but were told something harder: āShe will remain motionless, silent, in diapers her whole life.ā Can you imagine a mother's heart hearing that? Should I collapse? Scream? Cry? No - something settled deep inside me. š Above every doctor is a Lord who says āBeā and it is. š The Qurāan is more than a book - it is shifa, mercy, a cure known to those who have experienced it. Thatās when my real journey began. š¹ I made Surah Al-Fatiha part of my daily routine - reciting it over her again and again, not giving up. š¹ I read from the Qurāan while she lay in my arms, like pouring light into her with Allahās words. š¹ Our home never fell silent; the Qurāan filled it day and night. I came to understand that healing might not come from tests and reports, but from certainty in my heart. So I held fast to duāa, repeating: āO Allah, You have said - and Your word is true: āWe send down from the Qurāan that which is healing and mercy for the believersāā [Surah Al-Isra, 17:82]. And then the years passed⦠In her sixth year - a miracle happened. I looked and she was walking. She was talking. She could hear. She could use the bathroom by herself. Tears flooded my eyes and my forehead touched the ground in sujood - gratitude, joy, and amazement. š· Today she is the flower of our home, and she is memorizing the Book of Allah. I share this not just to tell a story but to push back against despair. To every mother and every hurting heart: never lose hope in Allahās mercy. The Qurāan is not only recitation. šæ It is healing. šæ It is medicine for the body, peace for the heart, and hope that can bring forth miracles. ⨠Bring healing to your children with the Qurāan. ⨠Let your home be filled with its sound. ⨠Give your heart a daily portion - and watch Allahās mercy descend on those who trust and believe. By Allah, when we approached the Qurāan with true certainty, a door of healing opened for us. āAnd We send down from the Qurāan that which is a healing and a mercy for the believers.ā - Surah Al-Isra (17:82) - from a mother who tasted the certainty of the Qurāan and saw its healing in her child's body and soul. š¤š“
