A gentle nudge to keep your good deeds going
There's a beautiful reminder from the Sunnah, alhamdulillah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once told 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (may Allah be pleased with him), something like: 'O 'Abdullah, don't be like that person who used to pray at night and then just stopped.' He didn't name names, which is so considerate, you know? It really makes you think about sticking to the good things you start, even the small ones. Islam is all about balance, SubhanAllah. If we go too hard and try to do everything at once, we might just get overwhelmed and end up dropping it all. Allah, in His infinite mercy, made our worship manageable with set times and ways. When we find a moderate, steady pace-whether it's in prayer, reading Qur'an, or being good to our families-we can keep it up for the long haul. That's why the Prophet (peace be upon him) said the deeds most loved by Allah are the consistent ones, even if they seem small. So, let's try to keep those good habits alive, one step at a time.
