A Friend Who Grew Distant After Marriage

Assalamu alaikum everyone. I’m not Muslim, but I have a lot of respect for Islam and have really enjoyed my visits to Muslim-majority countries. I wanted to share something I’ve been wondering about. I had a female friend who got married not too long ago. Before that, we used to chat regularly, and she always struck me as a genuinely kind person, both in how she treated me and others. After her marriage, which was a family-only event from what I heard, she became really distant. I’m not taking it personally or anything; I’m just curious if maybe it’s because her husband prefers she avoid interactions with non-mahram men? How common is this sort of situation?
