A Christian with Questions About Islam
Assalamu alaikum everyone. I was raised in a Christian family. Recently, I had the chance to become friends with a Muslim through an online community, and it's been eye-opening. I never realized how much Christianity and Islam have in common because I never had a Muslim friend before. Through him, I've learned so much about Islam, and it's really made me reflect on my own faith. We've grown quite close, and he sincerely wants to guide me towards what he believes is the truth. He's shared some points that are hard for me to ignore, and they've started making me question my beliefs. One thing I'm struggling with is the reliability of the Bible, especially since I've heard it's been changed over time. But at the same time, I've spent my whole life believing that Jesus (peace be upon him) died on the cross for my sins and that he is the Son of God. Those beliefs are deeply ingrained in me, so it's really tough to suddenly think differently. I'm genuinely trying to seek the truth with an open heart. I'm not here to argue or disrespect anyone's faith. If anyone could help me understand Islam's perspective on these matters, I'd be so grateful. JazakAllah khair for taking the time to read this.
