Volunteer Ahmad Zaki Dies During Humanitarian Mission in NTT

Ahmad Zaki Ali, a volunteer and founder of the Gerak Bareng Foundation, passed away while delivering aid to earthquake victims in East Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara, on Friday (21/8/2026). He died around 4:40 PM WITA in Satar Padut, North Lamba Leda District. Manggarai Police Chief AKBP Levi Defriansyah said Ahmad Zaki and three of his colleagues had set out from the Gerak Bareng Volunteer Post in the yard of Nurul Huda Mosque in Reo heading to the quake-affected area. Along the way, Ahmad Zaki lost consciousness and was quickly rushed to the Damer Medical Post, but his life couldn't be saved. The police expressed their appreciation and condolences for the late volunteer's dedication during the humanitarian mission.
