UAS Posts Photo of Keysa: ‘That Little Girl Is Our Child’, Highlights the People’s Plight
Ustadz Abdul Somad (UAS) posted a photo of Keysa, a little girl crying at her father’s funeral-he died after being mobbed for stealing a chicken. The post on UAS’s official Facebook and Instagram drew widespread attention.
In his caption, UAS stressed that stealing is wrong, but taking someone’s life is also unjustifiable. He questioned the state of a country rich in natural resources where its people still live in hardship.
UAS had previously highlighted five urgent needs of the people: good roads, free education, jobs, free healthcare, and comfortable places of worship. He believes meeting these would bring peace and tranquility.
