Is this a sin?

Assalamu alaikum. This might sound a bit simple, but I'm still learning about Islam after some hard times brought me closer to the faith. I wanted to ask: if I'm in an impure place with music playing, is it sinful to recite duas, dhikr, or salawat? Does it undo my efforts? Also, if I do dhikr with the specific intention of clearing my debts, does that invalidate it because my focus is on that goal? I'm feeling very overwhelmed and lost. May Allah forgive me.
