A Glimpse of Al-Hoor Al-‘Ayn
By Allah, if those radiant maidens just smiled, Their light would outshine the morning light. What a joy for the eyes when she draws near, And a delight for the ears when her voice is heard. Such gentle shyness, like a tender branch swaying, And such modesty in her smile. If your heart is struck by love for her, No remedy exists except in marital union. Especially in that moment of closeness when she embraces you, Her wrists resting softly against your neck. When her beautiful face is unveiled, The sight alone brings bliss before any union. The eyes find pure pleasure in seeing her, And there are fruits of every kind, never out of season.
