Türkiye denies withdrawals in northern Syria
Türkiye’s defence ministry says reports that Turkish troops pulled back from posts in the Peace Spring area are false - the TSK remains active there in coordination with the Syrian government and warned against disinformation. The statement recalls Türkiye’s anti-terror operations since 2016 (Euphrates Shield, Olive Branch, Peace Spring) aimed at preventing a PKK/YPG “terror corridor” along the border.
