The Sword of Ukasha RA: Fact or Legend?

Assalamu alaikum! I was reading 'The Sealed Nectar' and came across an amazing story: during the Battle of Badr, the Prophet (peace be upon him) gave Ukasha (may Allah be pleased with him) a wooden stick that miraculously turned into a sword named Al-Awn. Has anyone checked how authentic this is? I searched for references but found it only in a few seerah books. Curious if there’s stronger evidence.
