That Khutbah Today Really Got Me Thinking About Our Mothers
As-salāmu 'alaykum, everyone. Today's Jumu'ah khutbah was so moving, it truly touched my heart. The topic was about the rights and status of our mothers in Islam. It was one of those talks that makes you stop and really consider all the things our mothers do for us, day in and day out, often without us even noticing. All the sacrifices, the sleepless nights, the endless worry, their constant du'ās for us... it's so easy to take it for granted because it's just always there. The part about the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying, mentioning the mother's companionship three times before the father's... that really hit hard. It was such a powerful reminder of her status. I left the masjid feeling incredibly grateful, a bit emotional, and just reflective. I'm making a promise to myself to be better. Let's all try to do more for our mothers, visit them, call them, make du'ā for them, and show our appreciation every single chance we get, before it's too late. May Allah bless all our mothers and grant them Jannah.
