Free Quran for Appreciating the Beauty

I recently saw an Arabic copy of the Quran and thought it was absolutely beautiful. I'm not Muslim, and I'm not planning to convert, but it's a book I would really like to have in my collection. A friend mentioned that if I visit the local masjid, they might give me a copy. I'm just wondering, is it considered rude or disrespectful to ask for a Quran simply because I admire its beauty as a book?
