Telkomsel Sets Up Hajj Service Posts at 17 Embarkation Points, Supporting Pilgrim Communication
Welcoming the Hajj pilgrimage season 1447 H, Telkomsel is enhancing its services by establishing Hajj Service Posts at 17 embarkation points across Indonesia, including at the Sukolilo Hajj Dormitory in Surabaya. This initiative aims to ensure smooth communication and digital service access for pilgrims from before departure until they are in the Holy Land.
General Manager of Telkomsel East Java, Andri Kurniawan, affirmed the company's commitment through the spirit of 'Serving with Full Heart'. Telkomsel has collaborated with international operators like STC, Mobily, and Zain to guarantee network quality in Saudi Arabia, including support for high-speed 5G networks.
The Telkomsel Post at the Sukolilo Hajj Dormitory Surabaya operates from April 21 to May 21, 2026 (08:00-20:00 WIB). Pilgrims can access services for activating the RoaMAX Hajj 2026 package, SIM card replacement, top-ups, technical consultations, and Telkomsel Point exchanges. The special Hajj package offers up to 42 GB of internet quota with a 60-day validity period, complete with transit quota for 13 countries and 2 GB of domestic quota.
Services are supported by 5G networks up to 100 Mbps and VoLTE technology. Pilgrims also get free access to the Qara’a application, an artificial intelligence-based Quran learning platform. In Saudi Arabia, physical services are available at GraPARI Makkah, Hajj Post Makkah, and two posts near the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah. Package activation can be done independently through the MyTelkomsel app or UMB *266#.
