Sharing a Bathroom with a Muslim Roommate – How to Handle Wudu?
Assalamu alaikum, everyone! I'm a university student living in an all-girls house, and I share a bathroom with a Muslim sister. Lately, we've had some issues around her wudu routine. At first, she'd wash her feet in the kitchen sink, sometimes when our dishes were there. I got upset because it felt unhygienic to wash feet over things we eat from, so I asked her to stop. Now she does it in the bathroom sink, but I've noticed water on the floor and counter. I'm a bit uncomfortable since we use that sink for brushing teeth and washing faces. I suggested she use the bathtub, but she said it's not allowed in Islam. Is that true? Also, I'm worried about germs or fungus spreading from her feet. Any advice on how to maintain cleanliness and respect her practices?
