Salaam! A Bengali Hindu Girl Thinking of Embracing Islam

Assalamu alaikum, everyone. I'm a Bengali girl from a Hindu Brahmin family, and for my whole life I followed Hinduism, going to temples with my parents. They're very strict about religion, you know? They always had me doing puja and fasting and all that idol worship stuff. But for the last couple of years, I started feeling like this isn't what I really want for myself. Then, my sister got married to a Muslim man and she reverted to Islam, masha'Allah. Seeing her journey made something click in my heart and mind-I truly want to learn about Islam and embrace it, insha'Allah. But honestly, I'm really scared of how my family will react. I want to understand everything properly before I take that step, so I can explain it to them when the time comes. Can anyone guide me through this? Any help would mean a lot. JazakAllahu khairan.
