Restaurant Secretary in Surabaya Reports Korean Boss for Alleged Repeated Sexual Assault

A female employee with the initials MAD (28), a secretary at a Korean restaurant in the Mayjen HR Muhammad Street area, Surabaya, has reported the restaurant owner, SSY (64), a Korean citizen, for alleged sexual assault. The first incident happened on March 12, 2026, after the victim was plied with alcohol until she lost consciousness and was taken to a hotel, where the suspect allegedly raped her under threats of dismissal, withheld wages, and harm to her family. The victim revealed that repeated sexual assaults happened with similar methods, including death threats, until late July 2026. On July 28, the victim fought back and managed to escape together with a domestic helper with the initials SUF (24), who is also suspected to be a victim. Both were then helped by a colleague.
