President Sheikh Mohamed holds call with Syria’s Al Shara
Sheikh Mohamed and Syria’s President Ahmad Al Shara spoke by phone about bilateral ties and regional developments. The UAE reiterated support for Syria’s unity, security and development, and Al Shara thanked the UAE for backing peace and stability. Both leaders had recently met Putin in Moscow; Al Shara secured Russian backing for actions against a Kurdish-led militia, while Sheikh Mohamed pushed for a diplomatic end to the Russia–Ukraine war and highlighted UAE-mediated prisoner exchanges.
