Deep Respect for New Muslims and Their Courage
As-salamu alaykum - I just want to express how much respect I have for people who recently embraced Islam. I was born Muslim, and part of why I admire converts so much is that you didn’t grow up in this faith - you chose it. That takes real courage. I know becoming Muslim can be tough. Some of you might face pressure from family, lose friends, or have to give up things you loved. Choosing the deen despite those challenges shows real strength. I love hearing convert stories - how you discovered Islam, what clicked for you, and how the journey’s going. Every story is different and inspiring. If you ever want to share, I’d genuinely love to listen. No pressure, no judgement, and no preaching. If you have questions, doubts, or just need someone to talk to, I’m here to help however I can - even if it’s just listening. You’re not alone on this path. Much respect to all of you, and I pray for peace and perseverance on your journey. Ameen 😇
