Official, Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Islamic Boarding School in Jombang to Host the 35th NU Congress

The Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) has officially named Pondok Pesantren Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas in Jombang Regency as the host for the 35th Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Congress on 27–31 August 2026. The decision was reached during the Joint Routine Meeting of the Syuriyah and Tanfidziyah PBNU in Jakarta on Tuesday night (7/7). Rais ‘Aam PBNU, KH Miftachul Akhyar, said the location has been agreed upon and there's still time to prepare the infrastructure. He hopes this decision brings good things for the current board. Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul), called on all NU Regional and Branch Boards to make the congress a success with a spirit of togetherness.
