Ministry of Religious Affairs Launches AMAN App to Make Reporting Violence in Pesantren and Madrasah Easier
The Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) has launched the Anti-Violence Complaint Management Application (AMAN) to prevent violence in pesantren and madrasah. This app is part of the National Movement for Children's Safe and Comfortable Spaces (Gernas RANA) for Child-Friendly Pesantren and Madrasah. Students, parents, and the community can report suspected violence more easily, quickly, and in a targeted way.
Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar stressed that every child has the right to learn in a safe and comfortable environment without fear. He stated that child protection is part of the core values of religious teachings that uphold human dignity and compassion. Kemenag continues to strengthen prevention through regulations, a love-based care culture, improving educators' capacity, complaint services, and cross-agency collaboration.
Director General of Islamic Education Amien Suyitno explained that the AMAN app is designed for quick and measured handling of violence cases. Reports will be followed up with a clear mechanism so that children get optimal protection and are not afraid to report.
In addition, Kemenag declared its commitment to creating safe, comfortable, inclusive, and violence-free pesantren and madrasah through the signing of a Digital Declaration of Child-Friendly Pesantren and Madrasah. It's hoped that public trust will grow stronger, and Islamic educational units become places that protect children's rights and produce knowledgeable and morally upright generations.
