Is This Path Right for Me? Seeking Halal Alternatives
Salam everyone. I just turned 24, Alhamdulillah, and I’ve got my bachelor’s in Management Information Systems. I’m really hoping to jump into the tech world, focusing on business and data analytics, insha’Allah. I’m also considering a master’s down the line once I’m settled in a job. Honestly, my life feels a bit empty right now-I want to find good hobbies, build more discipline, earn some extra income, and pick up useful skills like martial arts and maybe archery. I had thought about the National Guard for the benefits and the side training, but deep down, I feel it’s not right for me as a Muslim, especially as a Palestinian-it just doesn’t sit well with my conscience. Plus, I don’t want to spend months away training or risk deployment. Financially, I can’t just keep paying for classes or range fees, so I’m looking for alternatives that give structure and benefits without compromising my faith. Any advice from brothers and sisters?
