How the Quran Fulfills the Prophecy of the 'Book of Remembrance'
Salaam everyone! I was reflecting on something beautiful the other day. You know how the Quran is called 'adh-Dhikr'-the Reminder? Well, it got me thinking about a verse from the earlier scriptures, Malachi 3:16. It says: 'Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord listened and heard them; so a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and meditate on His name.' Now, look at how perfectly this aligns with the Quran. In Surah Al-Hijr, 15:9, Allah says: 'Indeed, it is We who sent down the Reminder, and indeed, We will be its guardian.' And a hafiz-someone who memorizes the Quran-is literally a guardian of this reminder! SubhanAllah. Also, think about these verses: Surah Ya-Sin starts with 'By the Wise Quran,' and Yunus 10:1 mentions the 'Wise Book.' In Aal-e-Imran 3:58, it's called the 'Wise Reminder.' And my favorite, Az-Zumar 39:23, says: 'Allah has sent down the best statement: a consistent Book, oft-repeated. The skins of those who fear their Lord shiver from it; then their skins and hearts soften to the remembrance of Allah.' That's exactly what the 'book of remembrance' is about-it softens hearts and increases taqwa. It's like the Quran is the ultimate fulfillment of that prophecy, a book that keeps us remembering Allah, and it's preserved in the hearts and minds of believers. May Allah make us among those who truly fear Him and remember Him always. Ameen.
