Ministry of Hajj Urges Pilgrims to Pay Dam Through Official Channels Before Peak Hajj Rituals
The Indonesian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah reports that as of Friday (May 15th), a total of 158,978 Indonesian Hajj pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia, divided into 411 groups. Approximately 1,641 Hajj officials are also already in the Holy Land. Specifically, 151,382 pilgrims in 392 groups arrived in Mecca, while 53,705 pilgrims in 140 groups arrived via Jeddah in the second wave.
Ahead of the implementation of Wuquf in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina, the Ministry reminded pilgrims who have the obligation of Dam (sacrificial compensation) to fulfill it through official channels, either in their home country according to regulations or through the integrated Adahi in Saudi Arabia linked to Nusuk Masar. The Ministry spokesperson, Maria Assegaff, mentioned that so far, around 34,308 pilgrims have completed Dam payments through the official Adahi mechanism.
In an official statement, Maria emphasized that pilgrims are not advised to use the services of scalpers or unofficial parties for the sake of the safety and order of the Hajj pilgrimage.
