Life Tip: Am I the only one doing this useful trick? As-salamu alaykum
Disclaimer: I’m not a bot, not selling anything, just sharing something that helped me. I noticed a benefit that many workers overlook (including me for a long time): using your health benefits to the max. I live in Canada and my employer gives coverage like $600 a year for massage, $600 for chiropractor, $1500 for dental, and so on. Think of it as something you’re already getting through work. What I do when I use these benefits - for massage, dental, etc. - is pay with my credit card first instead of billing the insurer directly. Then I submit the receipts to the insurance for reimbursement. That way I collect credit card points when I pay, and the insurance later reimburses me. If you and your spouse both use full benefits, you could be getting the equivalent of thousands of dollars a year back in points and prepaid services. For example, fully using $7K of benefits each (for both of you) could translate into a lot of points and free services like massages, chiropractor visits, dental work, etc. I now barely pay for flights - I usually get at least one free round trip a year for me and my wife from points. Also, think about the wider impact: if more people used their benefits fully, that money would flow more into small businesses like local clinics and therapists instead of staying with big corporations. Just sharing this little hack - hope it helps. May Allah make things easy and bless our rizq.
