GMDM East Java Audiences with Pasuruan Regency DPRD, Highlighting Drug Abuse Prevention

The National Coordinating Body for Prevention and Treatment (GMDM) DPD East Java held an audience with the Pasuruan Regency DPRD to discuss programs for preventing narcotics abuse, especially methamphetamine, which is troubling the community. Chairperson of GMDM Pasuruan Regency, Yayuk Sri Wahyuning, shared GMDM's role in prevention, education, assistance, and rehabilitation of victims. Yayuk hopes the Pasuruan Regency Government will designate priority areas for drug handling and also proposed using unused regional assets as special rehabilitation facilities for children. She stressed the need for collaboration among all elements to create a drug-free environment.
