A Nudge on an Overlooked Duty
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu, dear brothers and sisters. I'm sharing this as someone still learning about climate change. Those of us in well-off countries have a role to play-even small shifts in how we live can matter. The ones hit hardest are often our fellow Muslims with far less. None of us are flawless, but cutting back on waste is a good step. Think about things like eating less meat (I'm not vegan, but in the West many go overboard; back in the salaf's era, meat was a rare treat), using less electricity, skipping unnecessary flights or fancy AI tools, or curbing food waste. When enough people make these tweaks, it adds up. This isn't about adding burden to those already struggling. It's for those of us who have more ease in life-we should honestly reflect on that. والسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
