Five Passengers of KMP Putri Yasmin Still Missing, Mataram SAR Team Conducts Search
West Lombok – Five passengers of KMP Putri Yasmin that caught fire in the waters of Lombok Strait were still missing as of Thursday noon. Head of Mataram SAR Office, Muhamad Hariyadi, stated that based on the manifest data received by the SAR Post at Lembar Port, there are five names of passengers who have not been found, namely Yasir Arafat, Selvina Rambu Mayi, I Made Sutarjana, Slamet Yulianto, and I Ratu Agung Ayu Sekar.
As of Wednesday night, a total of 212 people had been evacuated, including 39 people evacuated by KMP Pratama Kalyani. Of that number, 172 people survived and one person died. The joint SAR team is still searching for the five missing passengers, following up on reports from families who have not received certainty.
KMP Putri Yasmin caught fire while sailing from Padangbai Port, Bali, to Lembar Port, Lombok, in the early hours of Wednesday. The search is still ongoing until Thursday noon.
