Fasting in Secret: Seeking Guidance for Ramadan
As-salamu alaykum, I'm a university student who has recently reverted to Islam and I'm keeping my faith private from my family. With Ramadan approaching, I'm worried that my parents will notice the change in my eating habits and figure out what's going on. I've learned that Islam is about intention and ability, but I don't want to use that as an excuse to not fast. Can anyone offer some advice on how I can still observe Ramadan, or what the Islamic ruling would be in my situation? I want to participate in fasting as much as I can, but I need some guidance on how to navigate this challenging situation.
