My Journey to Understand Islam

As-salamu alaykum. I've decided to embark on a personal experiment to learn more about Islam. For one week, I plan to follow the Islamic teachings and rules to gain a deeper understanding of this beautiful faith and see how it resonates with me. I'm doing my own research beforehand, putting aside any preconceptions, and I intend to write a reflective report at the end as part of my approach to learning about this subject. If anyone could share some resources, such as lists of key practices or recommended readings, I would be truly grateful. In my community, there are several mosques, mainly attended by Muslims of Moroccan origin, who I believe follow the Maliki school of thought.
