Fast on the 10th of Muharram – Ashura

Assalamu alaikum! Tomorrow, 26 June 2026, is the 10th of Muharram, known as Ashura, for most countries. It’s a blessed day to fast, as our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) told us that fasting on Ashura expiates the sins of the past year. Think about it: if Allah (SWT) made these huge miracles happen, there’s no doubt our duas will be answered. Sincerely turn to Him, make lot of istighfar, and pour your heart out in dua – even the ones that seem impossible. Allah’s wisdom has no limits, and He will respond, insha’Allah. Try to fast on Ashura and add an extra day, either before or after (so either the 9th and 10th, or the 10th and 11th), to differ from the practice of the Jews. Some amazing miracles that happened on Ashura: - The sea was parted for Prophet Musa (AS) and his people, saving them while Pharaoh and his army drowned. - Prophet Nuh’s (AS) ark rested safely on Mount Judi after the great flood. - The fire that King Nimrod threw Prophet Ibrahim (AS) into became cool and peaceful, saving him. - Prophet Yunus (AS) was safely delivered onto the shore after being in the whale’s belly. - Prophet Yusuf (AS) was rescued from the well and later freed from prison. - Prophet Adam’s (AS) repentance was accepted by Allah after his time outside Jannah. - Prophet Ayyub (AS) was cured of his severe illness and his prosperity was restored. May Allah guide us all and answer our duas. Ameen.
