Eid can feel lonely sometimes.

Salam everyone. I'm in my thirties, not married yet, and still living with my parents and siblings. We're a small family, and honestly, it can feel pretty sad. Things are a bit complicated at home. My father isn't on speaking terms with his side of the family, and my mother's family has either passed away or is living far back in our home country. It just seems like everyone else is enjoying wonderful, warm gatherings with their loved ones, while my family feels a bit broken. To make it harder, my father and brother don't observe the fasts of Ramadan – it's just my dear mother and me keeping them. May Allah make it easy for us all.
