Don't just practice Islam-strive for it sincerely
As-salamu alaykum - I'm convinced our life in the Akhirah will reflect how we lived in this Dunya. If someone truly seeks Allah and cleanses their heart in this life, Allah will draw them near and purify them in the Hereafter. But if a person turns away from Allah and fills their life with corrupting pursuits now, they may find Allah distancing them there as well. We shouldn't be the type who follows rituals while secretly clinging to the Dunya above the Hereafter. I see people who study and act on religion, yet their struggles and longings are all about worldly things, not about Akhirah. Knowledge alone isn’t enough if the heart is tied to Dunya - that approach is broken. We need to struggle for the Hereafter, aiming for true closeness to Allah and comfort in His presence. One river of His favor is worth more than a thousand worldly wells. And Allah can give what nothing else can.
