Ahead of Eid al-Adha, Blitar City's Dimoro Market Packed with Sacrificial Animal Buyers
The buying and selling of sacrificial animals at Dimoro Animal Market in Blitar City is getting busier ahead of Eid al-Adha 2026. Hundreds of traders and buyers have been crowding the market area since Sunday (24/5) morning. Blitar Mayor Syauqul Muhibbin inspected the market conditions directly and said that the supply of sacrificial animals is still sufficient and prices are relatively stable.
"The animals are complete, there are still plenty of goats and cows to choose from. Prices are also still negotiable," said the Mayor. He even bought a sacrificial goat after bargaining from Rp12.5 million down to Rp11 million. The Head of the Food Security and Agriculture Agency of Blitar City, Dewi Masitoh, mentioned that around 1,000 sacrificial livestock entered Dimoro Market today, coming from Blitar Raya, Tulungagung, and Kediri, and it's hoped this can boost the economic turnover for breeders and traders.
