A Korban in the Mojokerto Pengajian: Video Operator Dies from Electric Shock
A video streaming operator, Primasta Firdaus Nuzula (26), died from an electric shock during a halal bihalal gathering and pengajian welcoming Eid al-Adha 1447 H in the yard of Musala Darun Na'im, Gedeg, Mojokerto, Friday night (22/5). Two other residents, Sriatu (64) and M Raffa Al Falaq (25), were also injured.
Mojokerto City Police's Head of Public Relations, Ipda Jinarwan, said the event started at 19.00 WIB with a selawat performance. The incident happened around 20.05 WIB when there was heavy rain, likely due to a short circuit in a wet power strip. The electric current traveled to the operator's table, which the victim touched.
The three victims were taken to RSUD RA Basoeni Gedeg, but Primasta couldn't be saved. His family accepted this as a tragedy and refused an autopsy. Police are still investigating the case by questioning witnesses and securing evidence.
